Tailgate party

This past Saturday, Katie (my sister) and Kathy (College Station Friend) threw Brandon and I tailgate wedding shower. It was a lot of fun! We met out at Penberthy (A&M's intramural fields) and set up shop! You can't beat bar-b-que and beer on a Saturday afternoon! It was fun to be surrounded by family and friends! It was even a bit chilly (in May?) which meant, of course, that we needed to start a fire in the fire pit. Nothing tops sitting around a camp fire and hearing stories told. Needless to say this party was much more than I expected! Some people drove an hour plus (from Austin and The Woodlands! oh and mom and dad from home!) just to come and all I have to say about them is they are Rockstars! So thank you to all who came and a big thanks to Katie and Kathy (and Lindsey) for putting it all together! Y'all are awesome! We are a blessed couple! My sister even made little goody bags for everyone. The boys got root beer (with a personalized Brandon and Sarah label) and beef jerky and the girls got cute note pads! She is so creative!

Some of my friends and I! Taryn (girl in the gray sweater) drove from Austin to be there!Brandon is always making me laugh! Most of the gifts we were opening were kitchen related and he found some way to relate every gift to either meat, beer or cereal. Got to love it!
